What is CIAM (customer identity)?

Created by Fu Yi, Modified on Wed, 29 Jul at 2:21 PM by Fu Yi

Customer identity and access management (CIAM) is a system that manages sign in and access for customers. A business uses CIAM to register, sign in, and protect its users. CIAM handles large numbers of external users, not internal staff.

How SenseCrypt uses it: SenseCrypt is a passwordless identity provider (IdP) for CIAM. A customer enrolls from a photo on file. The customer then signs in by face. Face matching runs on-device. SenseCrypt stores no biometric data on the server.
