What is an identity provider (IdP)?

Created by Fu Yi, Modified on Wed, 29 Jul at 2:18 PM by Fu Yi

An identity provider (IdP) is a service that checks who a user is. The IdP then tells other applications the result. Applications trust the IdP, so they do not manage passwords themselves.

How SenseCrypt uses it: SenseCrypt is a passwordless identity provider (IdP) from Seventh Sense. Seventh Sense is a Singapore deep-tech company. A user enrolls from a photo on file. The user then signs in by face.
