- Move to even, front-facing light — avoid strong backlight (a window behind you).
- Hold the phone at eye level and keep your face fully in frame.
- Remove anything covering your face — mask, sunglasses, hat brim shading your eyes.
- Clean the front camera lens.
- Still failing after several attempts? Contact your administrator to re-enroll from a current photo.
