How is this different from Face ID or my phone's fingerprint unlock?

Device biometrics like Face ID prove that someone the phone trusts unlocked the phone — any face or finger enrolled on that device will do, and the app on the other side only learns 'the device said yes'. SenseCrypt verifies that you, the specific enrolled person, are present — regardless of whose device you're holding.

That distinction matters on shared devices, shared workstations, and anywhere accountability is required: every sign-in carries the verified identity of a person, not a device.
